Welcome to Curiocity Labs. Today we are going to talk about our newest creation: The Paper Rocket.

What you'll need:

  • A straw

  • Paper

  • Tape

  • A pencil (make sure it's thicker than your straw)

  • Scissors (be careful when using these!)

Let's build!

  1. Roll up the paper: Cut a long, skinny strip of paper. Wrap it tightly around your pencil, from the tip to the end. Tape the edges together to make a rocket body.

2. Add the fins: Cut out two small triangle shapes. Tape these to the bottom of your rocket body to make fins.

3. Attach the rocket: Slide the rocket body onto the straw.

Ready to launch? Hold the straw and blow into the other end. Watch your rocket soar!

Want to experiment more? Try changing the size of your fins or the length of your rocket. See what happens!
